Welcome to HASTINGS GYMNASTICS (INC)
HASTINGS GYMNASTICS currently offers gymnastic classes for Pre-School, Recreational and Competitive (by selection) boys and girls. The Club colours are Black and Purple. We hope all gymnasts have a fun and rewarding time in a safe environment with qualified Coaches in our fully set up facility.
RECREATIONAL CLASS GYMWEAR: Suitable clothing must be worn to all Gym Classes. Leotards or bike shorts and a fitting T shirt for Girls and shorts (no baggy board shorts) and a fitting T shirt for Boys. No clothing with zips, sequins or any metal domes is permitted. The midriff must be covered at all times for safety reasons. The Club’s Recreational gymnast’s uniform for girls (optional) is available along with all Gymwear at “Jitterbugz”, 227 Gloucester St, Taradale. Long hair must be tied back and no jewellery to be worn please – small studs may be worn. No shoes are to be worn in the training area of the gymnasium.
COMPETITION CLASS GYMWEAR: Leotards must be worn at all times. Bike shorts to be worn over leotards. Long hair must be tied back and well clipped in a style where it does not sit past the shoulders - this is a safety requirement.
GYMNASTS: On arrival to the gym, gymnasts are to be seated quietly upstairs in the spectator seating area until their class is ready to commence. This is particularly important if a class is in progress.
SPECTATORS: We welcome spectators to Classes and seating is provided upstairs (stairway is situated to the left of the main entrance) Only coaches and gymnasts are permitted in the training area of the gym.
FOOD: may only be consumed upstairs in the spectator seating area. We encourage gymnasts to bring a named drink bottle particularly during the summer - water is best Named water bottles are to be kept in the locker area by the main entrance to the gym.
FEES: Our preferred method of payment is by online banking. Please use gymnast’s name as the reference. Bank Account details are as follows: WESTPAC – 03 0642 0797154 00
